Asiago Romeo Sartori Airport

Just a short distance from the centre lies another pillar of history, the Romeo Sartori Airport, named in memory of the pilot from Roana who was awarded the silver medal for military valour during the First World War. The airport has two runways, one asphalted and 1,120m in length and 23m wide, the second grassed and 1,100m in length and 90m wide. The Romeo Sartori landing strips are the highest in Italy.
With roughly 3,000 flights per year of which 400 are international, the airport located on the plateau is helping to relaunch the economy and tourism of Asiago. Inside, visitors can find the ‘3409ft’, the imaginatively named Restaurant and Bar for use by pilots, passengers and all enthusiasts of the plateau.
